Review of Taxi to the Dark Side (2008) by Eric F — 02 Nov 2008
I've seen a lot of documentaries (i.e. "No End In Sight", "The Fog Of War", "Why We Fight") about how completely buggered the US government is and how quaint their definition of "torture" has become.
This one was different, because it personalizes the tale by focusing on one innocent cabbie who was tortured to death at Abu Ghraib for no good reason. It's difficult to watch, especially when most of the interviews are with soldiers who had a hand in what became of this poor Afghani man, but it's worth pushing yourself through it.
It feels like something that everyone should see. The ending actually shocked me; you'll understand why if you watch it.
