Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Field M — 05 Mar 2013
Didn't think De Niro had much to offer the roll, whether that be the fault of himself, the direction he was given or the character wasn't strong enough on paper I don't know. It all just felt a little bland.
This must go on that ever growing pile of critically acclaimed films (some may even choose to call classics) that in there day were different and maybe even ground breaking, but that really haven't stood the test of time.
