Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Stefan K — 31 Dec 2013
Seeing this film as a teenager, I could relate to Bickle's anger and misunderstanding of the horrible world around him, in my opinion the finest of Scorsese works.Taxi Driver uses a typical three act structure uniquely to show the dark decent from a man trying fit in to a man against the world to a full blown psychotic wreck in a bloody devastating climax.
De Niro's performance is the best character study in cinema history as well as a career making yet challenging role by Foster.
