Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Sean W — 19 Jul 2014
Compared to modern movies it isn't as violent as everyone was describing it to be but that's not a bad thing at all. The violence is well placed, the directing is as close to perfect as possible, De Niro brings to life a complex, demented, and yet relate able protagonist, and the movie captures your attention for the entire run time.
Travis' disgust in New York's degeneracy while exhibiting his own moral ignorance is captivating to say the least. Everyone should see this movie at least once in their life.
