Review of Taxi Driver (1976) by Frank V — 23 Feb 2014
Scorsese's Taxi Driver is one of the greatest american films, and fully deserves the landmark status it's been given over the years. De Niro gives an incredible performance as a Vietnem Vet insomniac that gives his portrayal in Raging Bull a run for its money and Jodie Foster gives what may be her best performance.
The cinematography and direction is always top notch, exactly what one should expect from Scorsese. The only part of the film that I felt was lacking was the score, but not enough so to dock it any points.
