Review of Taxi Driver (1954) by Geoff L — 25 Jun 2015
One of the greatest films of all time! Marty's best and most chilling film in his arsenal of great films. DeNiro's performance is one of the best of his career taking us into the mind of a delusional lonely man looking to be somebody and belong somewhere in this crazy world.
The film is filled with loneliness and is not more evident than it is most iconic scene with Travis standing in front of the mirror as he talks to himself. Great films leave you wanting more. I wanted to know where Travis would be today.
Does he get the girl does he save the girl? I wanted more and still do. One of the greatest films ever!
