Review of Taxi (2004) by Dave H — 05 Aug 2008
I appreciate a thinking man's film as much as the next guy, but this is not one of them. Therefore, I will not try to judge it as one.
So, what's good about Taxi? Well, there's some phat(ish) cars, some cool driving stunts, some pretty ladies and a few gigglable jokes.
What's bad about it? Well, it won't make you rethink your life, but I already said I won't care about that. Aside from that then, at one point the taxi changes wheels without stopping. Oh and the notion that a complete screw-up can learn to drive without so much as a montage is cinematically absurd.
But who cares about that stuff? The imdb-posse can debate continuity till they're bored, the rest of us can watch what is, when all's said and done, an enjoyable movie .D.
