Review of Tarzan Escapes (1936) by Kevin M. W — 24 Mar 2018
Certainly one of the better adventure films of the 1930's. Here Tarzan interacts more with people than he does the jungle he is lord over - which hurts the film overall. Some of the footage may even be from earlier films (alligators), and Jane never yodels either.
Expect a Hollywood ending. All in all there may be slightly better emotional acting from Weissmuller in this film in spite of it being an adventure film for those looking to escape modern life for a little while.
