Review of Tarzan (1999) by Ian G — 17 May 2009
Often considered the last of the Golden era classic animated Disney films and possibly ever when they shut the department down in 2004 in favor of computer animation. Great depth perspective for the visuals and excellent voice casting.
And the soundtrack done by Phil Collins with the heavy percussive persuation captured the feel of the film and story perfectly. I remember watching this and being swept away. A very solid film and it is great to see that Disney is entering back into the game of hand drawn animation with the Princess and the Frog.
Fingers crossed that it is a rediscovered art form.
