Review of Tarzan (1999) by Elin G — 19 Aug 2011
A great film that I dind't quite understand as a kid, that is esentially about belonging, and identity. And I am a sucker for stories about belonging. I cried, more than once, there is something so heartbreakingly beautiful with the child and the monkey compairing hands and hearts.
And the music is a perfect match. This moment has a perfect callback in the meeting of Jane, a caracter I am rather fond of. And when he walks out of that house wearing clothes, it is everything I love to see, about love, and choices, and defining who you are, and how much it means to really care.
