Review of Tarnation (2003) by Chad P — 03 Aug 2007
This film does everything a documentary is suppsoed to do. It tells a compelling story you can't look away from, in a fresh original way. This film is shot, edited and delievred like no other film and serves as a template for a brand new genre of film.
It's just that it's psychotic style both added to it and took away from it. It's one of those rare cases where a great film suffers soley because of poor editing. Had this been condensed, it would have been twice the film.
That being said, this documentary is revolutionary, fresh, and will be imitated and built upon, I hope.
