Review of Tarnation (2003) by Justin J — 28 Apr 2008
As if the $265 budget and expertly cut structure weren't impressive enough, this is a deeply personal and sometimes painfully vivid self portrait about personal discovery and the unreachable desire for all the answers.
Director Jonathan Caouette's willingness to bare to his audience his naked self (sometimes quite literally) is essential to the film's revelatory and effective nature.
