Review of Tarnation (2003) by Daniel L — 12 Feb 2009
This doc is really hybrid of genres - part documentary, part home movie, and part experimental film. The end result is a harrowing but deeply moving account of the filmmaker's childhood and early adulthood in a family beset by mental illness.
Recommended for both documentary enthusiasts and experimental film devotees alike. Unique, inventive and heartbreaking.
