Review of Tape (2001) by Rose L — 15 Dec 2007
This movie resembles a stage play, in that it all happens in a little hotel room and there is usually only one hand-held camera in there with the actors. Ethan and Uma pull it off though and that is a respectable feat.
The story is intriguing, because you really wanna know where it is heading. I was curious as hell what agenda Ethan's character was pursuing. If you need action of any sort to enjoy movies, steer clear of this one.
Linklater is some kind of master of minimalistic approach methinks.
