Review of Tape (2001) by Shawn J — 29 Jan 2009
Probably the best student film ever made. Now, I know everyone working on it was professional, but the budget and equipment were both in the reach of anyone in film school. Shot on MiniDV with a production budget of seven grand, Tape is a great character examination that only has one location and three actors.
The dialog drives this thing, and what great dialog it is, written by the same playwright as the Laramie Project. Definitely worth watching.
