Review of Tape (2001) by Lyndon G — 21 May 2009
Tape is basically a one-act play in a motel room caught in Richard Linklater's best style, which means it feels pleasantly but not aggressively stagey. The drama orbits one man's past crime and the ways victim, perp, and a half-disinterested friend see it when they meet one afternoon.
The tape in question isn't a tape of the deed, which appears to have been date rape--its contents are slightly more interesting.
