Review of Tangerine (2015) by August M — 19 Jan 2016
Without a doubt the best transgender Christmas comedy you're likely to come across, Tangerine is both hilarious and heartfelt. Filmed entirely on an iPhone Tangerine also proves that you don't need big movie histrionics to make something compelling.
Hell, all you need is the smart phone in your pocket! In that way, Tangerine is revolutionary and certainly indicative of the future of film making. It doesn't hurt that the characters are all well drawn and well acted.
This is a very specific movie about a very specific group of people but, at the end of it all, they behave and want like any other person you'd come across.
