Review of Tampopo (1985) by Jason I — 04 Oct 2007
Juzo Itami's film mixes food, humor, sex, violence, spirituality and anything else you can think of in one incredible film about japanese ramen. It can be vile and beautiful and it is always engaging.
This film is an example of film's potential to use multiple forms of narrative (often employing narratives within narratives) and how lively and engaging the medium can be.
