Review of Tammy (2014) by Stephen Y — 24 Jul 2014
The first half of the film I sat on my hands wondering when funny moments were coming. Melissa Mccarthy gives her best attempts to liven up the material, but most fell flat. One running gag about Tammy and her grandmother both having sexual encounters with the ice cream man made me laugh but that's about it.
The last third of the film started getting interesting with Tammy's love interest and Kathy Bates' character, but most of the film is unsuccessful.
