Is this awful? Yes. Does McCarthy make up for it by being awesome even when this movie is awful? Yes. It is funny, and terrible all at once. It has a ton of award winners who, arguably, should know better, but on the same thread, you get a kick out of seeing them be so stupid.

So yes, this is stupid, but yes, it also makes for a mindless 90 minutes on a hot summer night in an air conditioned theatre. Its cute.
