Review of Tall Tale: The Unbelievable Adventure (1995) by Sonya D — 07 Jul 2006
Tall Tale is a fun movie. Basic plot is that a young boy enlists help of fictional heroes to save his family's farm from an evil capitalist. What makes this film special is the fictional heroes.
They are played and acted well. Scot Glen is decent as the villian, and scenery is beautiful. Fictiional heroes are all separate Tall Tale from normal "Kid tries to save his family's farm/home/whatever from evil land baron" story.
There are some slow parts and Patrick Swayze is okay, but it's still good nonetheless. If you like American folktales, then rent Tall Tale..
