Review of Talk to Me (2007) by Nathan H — 17 Dec 2008
Engaging film with some great performances, and a great depiction of the "spirit of the times" from the early to mid '60s. The sequence following MLK Jr's death is both haunting and enlightening, worth the price of admission for the film, just so that you can truly experience what happened to the nation in a single horrible day.
"Talk to Me" is funny, witty, and endearing, and a little bit tragic, though the end tries to tell us what to think of the movie we just saw, which is a bit annoying. Don Cheadle is amazing, though, and this is definitely worth checking out.
