Review of Talk to Her (2002) by Nica Vega — 13 Jul 2008
First of all, this is the best Almodovar film. All the performances were delivered masterfully.
In real life, love is not a fairy tale. It is not easy and it is very confusing. In this film, somehow, Almodovar manages to create a character that does something that is morally wrong, yet the audience can be sympathetic to his delusional state of a love that does not exist. It is a beautiful film that shows the complexity of life, where nothing is as simple as black and white.
