Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Hala Z — 22 Dec 2009
I'll never understand Ang Lee's love with using split screens throughout a film. This technique bugs me a little. I'm not sure what this film was supposed to be. I didn't laugh enough for it to be a comedy, but it wasn't serious enough to be a drama.
In any event I thought about turning this film off at several points but I kept watching, and as I did the characters got more interesting, and was enough to make me watch to the end. I don't think I'll ever need to see this film again, but I'm glad I watched it.
