Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Jeff B — 01 Mar 2013
Really well done look at the events that came together to put on the 1969 Woodstock festival. It was shot--or, really, edited--to seem a lot more like a documentary at times, which I liked. Ang Lee wove in footage that looked like it had been shot in 1969 along with the dramatic/comedic stuff that composed most of the script.
Liev Schreiber stole the show in every scene he was in as the transvestite Vilma.
