Review of Taking Woodstock (2009) by Rob F — 02 Jan 2010
What I liked about this movie was what it only so gently adresses... there is a sense of magnitude surrounding the concert itself...and the main character never really gets to see the stage...when he finally goes and gets near enough, he's high, and the experience is completely esoteric.
..lifechanging...in this way the movie is a coming-of-age story... there are moments of great beauty and of total hilarity... its very very watchable... and reminds me of almost famous... maybe not as good but just as important.
ang lee defiantly flirts between comedy and family drama. check it out.
