Review of Taking My Parents to Burning Man (2014) by Robert P — 09 Apr 2014
A truly amazing and touching doc.
The story of Bryant taking his parents to burning man in itself is an intriguing prospect, but the unseen and almost catastrophic issues encountered along the way (such as losing all of their funding) make this an exciting, and sometimes tense film to watch.
As someone who has never been to Burning Man, I believe the story of this family, the stories of strangers that are met on the playa (black rock city) , the random and surreal situations encountered in the desert, and the amazing/tear jerking/ emotional final third of the film have left me with a good understanding of how ones life could be changed by simply being involved in this community.
