Review of Taking Chance (2009) by Anne B — 21 Mar 2009
Everyone should see this film including children. It is slow and you wonder if it's going anywhere but in the end you'll find yourself shedding a tear or two in the last 15 minutes of this HBO film.
It's amazing the rigorous journey even a fallen soldier has and the regulations those on duty have to stick to. Excellent portrayal of our military's dedication to carefully protect and to serve not only civilians but those a part of our national defense as well; all the way to the very fleck of dirt that lands first on their coffins.
This film shows an in-depth side rarely focused on and usually no more than just a passing thought of sadness.
