Elaborate heists and escapes notwithstanding, it's too derivative of "The Italian Job" without giving us a real connection to the robbers as individuals (with the notable exception of Gordon, who struggles to help his sister kick her drug addiction).
The idea that this group would tackle a new robbery scheme on such short notice -- and at the behest of a guy they clearly don't trust -- is too big a stretch.
