Review of Takers (2010) by Lee B — 14 Jun 2011
This movie really stinks. There really isn't any mystery to the supposed mysteries, the action really lacks excitement, the dialogue is elementary at best and the scenes where characters are together and the actors need to act come off as being warm-ups for a better performance to come with the cameras are rolling. But they were filming at that moment.
I really can't pick out anything original about this movie. From people to scenes to look and feel. It all seems like it was filmmaking 101. The best I can say about this movie is that it makes Matt Dillon's better than average performance in Crash show that he is better than average at playing characters like this.
