Review of Taken 3 (2014) by Arthur_S_Poe — 21 Feb 2015
I actually enjoyed this one more than the second and I honestly think it was a big step forward. Sure, you get a little tired of Neeson beating the crap our of everybody (now it's the Russians) and some of the scenes were actually repetitive, but the laughable moments, although present, aren't as childish as earlier.
They're just your standard 'no-this-cannot-happen-in-real-life' scenes that are characteristic for the genre as a whole. In the closing chapter, Neeson, as is the rest of the cast, is brilliant as always and it was truly a refreshing moment to see Dougray Scott after a while.
Forest Whitaker also added to the movie his usual charm and all in all, with a decent screenplay, 'Taken 3' is a satisfyingly good conclusion to the trilogy and is good even as a standalone movie.
