Review of Taken 3 (2014) by Griffin M — 08 Feb 2015
At least "it ends here". The refreshing, hard-walled lure that Neeson's comeback performance as ex- special ops/ loving father Bryan Mills has worn off at this point. Liam Neeson isn't "back" like he was in 2009; he's been here prominently, mostly playing the same character, for six years.
I like the guy a lot, the Bryan Mills character has been rehashed plenty of times since then in many Neeson action movies, and by "Taken 3" the character is just blended with the rest of them.
Outside of Neeson? The movie doesn't have much to offer. Basic early- year action flair that amuses at times but perplexes and bores other times. A final installment in a trilogy shouldn't feel like a waste of time and money before it even comes out.
