Review of Taken (2004) by Gomi A — 31 Dec 2012
This movie is not exactly equal to the Bourne series, but it must be in the same conversation as one of the best modern day action flicks. Liam Neeson surprised me here, and let me assure you - it was a pleasant surprise.
Neeson is brilliant as the father out to save his kidnapped daughter, putting in one of the most believable and honest performances I've seen in 2008. His daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) is not so good in her minimal part, however, acting way over the top too often.
After the slow set-up in the opening few acts, this film is brilliant. See it if it's your kind of movie.
