Review of Taken 2 (2012) by Poul F — 28 May 2013
Yeesh...based on all these reviews that, poor me, I actually read completely I think I would not want to touch this film (never mind watch it) with a ten foot pole! If I can find it, I'll watch it but I imagine I will probably detest it in the end...Review is to follow, also a reminder to ignore the largely ignorant reviewers who spout out their words for free or pay.
Taken 2 is the sequel to Taken and follows the premise of wrongs being repaid by overkill along the vein of "an eye for an eye". The father of a man killed by Liam's agent vows revenge at a funeral but for the life of his son he decides to kidnap the agent, his ex-wife(?) and their daughter.
Due to foresight by the agent, the daughter avoids capture when her parents do not. She helps her dad to determine where they have been taken to and when he escapes he helps his daughter avoid capture or killing by a thug but the wife is taken away to another destination. The father and daughter escape to the American embassy then he goes to rescue her mother. Thrilling, violent but not necessarily clear or believable. 8/10.
