Review of Taken 2 (2012) by Indu R — 24 Mar 2015
Defintely a better entry than the laughable final entry in the series, Taken 2 focuses on Liam Neeson's driving school, I mean attempting to reconnect with his family after the trauma of the first film by actually arranging a family vacation/escape in Turkey only to be hunted and Taken by the Albanian criminal family who are coming to avenge the death of their son in the first entry of the series.
Defintely absurdist in the eurotrash grindhouse tradition going from Lian Neeson going to pick up his daugther to teach her how to drive in LA to help her finally pass her test on the 3rd go, to having her driving crazily through the streets of Istanbul to escape the bad guys.
And that was only one scenario lol. Fun for what it is and from what I have been told the best in the series. Would still be cool to have those film imperfections and cigerette burns to complete the experience, but otherwise fun for what it is.
