Review of Take This Waltz (2011) by Timothy A — 15 Jun 2012
A small film, but an important one nonetheless. Michelle Williams is luminescent as the Toronto woman frustrated with a roadblock of a marriage. Lou is loving and loveable but not enough. When Daniel enters the scene Margot sees the possibilities.
This film is directed with exquisite care and tenderness by Sarah Polley. She manages to capture the internal dramas of relationships with great skill. Even if the ending is not totally satisfactory the film is filled with many unforgettable moments that will leave you ultimately quite satisfied.
