Review of Take This Waltz (2011) by Cheryl C — 24 Jul 2012
Beautifully shot film with a great soundtrack that feels at times unbearingly human. Afterward, I felt my willingness to forgive the Michelle William's character was largely because she was portrayed by Michelle Williams, not because she was worthy of forgiving for trying/failing to find herself in unhealthy, unsustainable ways.
The best line of this movie occured in the middle, and might have been lost on some due to the nudity - "new things get old." to me, that was the underlying message of the movie. Overall, an enjoyable and worthwhile examination of relationships.
Also, Canada looked friggin amazing.
