The writing is the kind of intimate awkwardness that is so true to life it'll make your skin crawl. But the main character, played by Michelle Williams is the least interesting thing about this thoughtful character study.
I come away strangely satisfied, but overall wishing that this film had been about Sarah Silverman's alchaholic sister-in-law character.
