I wanted to love this film - if for no other reason than I have heard great things about female director Sarah Polley. But it was drab ..lackluster ... and none of the actors seemed to have any chemistry on screen .
. except for perhaps the Silverman-Williams relationship. The film felt like the nauseating theme park ride that was metaphoric of the love affair - which was so obviously destined for failure from the very beginning that the entire film was filled with dread.
Master of dread - not suspense.
