Review of Take the Money and Run (1969) by Jeffrey D — 19 Jul 2007
This was one of Woody's 'early, funny' ones. A joke a second, some hit, some miss, but there's an energy here that unmistakeable. Apparently Woody needed the help of a good editor and found it in Ralph Rosenblum, who was able to focus Woody's vision into a classic little mock-umentary.
The scene where the bank teller can't read the handwriting on a robbery note is genius.
