Well, later around I have found myself returning to woody allen when in a mood for comedy, I am young so this movies are new to me, and so far i've enjoyed most of his work, so this past weekend I checked this one out, and here it is:

It's basically a portrait of a loser who chooses very badly a criminal life career, and end up in jail every time he attempt to rob anything. Nor failure or even love couldn't straight this guy out who absurdly keeps being convinced that crime can pay for him.

Though it's not a comedy masterpiece like other allen works it has very enjoyable moments, the concept kind of a mockumentary I guess it was pretty forward for the time when it was made, even now it is the presentation of it what makes the comedy more appealing. The jokes are not so clever as other allen movies but still worth the while. This is a one man band here, not much interaction with other characters, it is the narrator who keep the whole thing rolling.

Even in the middle of all this come and go to jail, traveling and stealing, Allen managed to introduce as always, New york city in a very insightfull way. The direction I dare to say, it was visionary for the time when, it's easy going, fast paced, and at some pints very funny, and though not so well scripted as other works of woody, it's very enjoyable.

It's a must see for allen fans. Other viewers may find this silly. If you are felling kind of blue about your life and need something to boost your self this guy will sure make you feel you're a winner.
