Michael Shannon plays crazy with disturbing authenticity. Take Shelter is filled with such an overbearing sense of dread that you can almost sympathise with Shannon's descent into bugnuts creepiness.
The oppressiveness doesn't make this an easy watch but it's genuinely compelling.
