Review of Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004) by Grace Y — 02 Oct 2007
For those who just think it's another 'Korean blockbuster' you are just plain out wrong. This movie is one of those rare gems that is produced among thousands of 'Korean blockbusters'.
I do have to admit that Korea does not produce many good movies, but this is one of them, and I'm sad that it didn't get more exposure in the US like Dragon Wars which is...well that's off topic.
This is a heart-wrenching movie about the hardship of two brothers forced to fight for the South, and in the end fight each other as one takes the other side. Watch as they struggle through the many horrors of war.
