Review of Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004) by Martin R — 08 Jan 2009
The blurb on the case of this South Korean movie said: 'Makes 'Saving Private Ryan' seem like a stroll in the park.' and frankly, I have to agree wholeheartedly. This movie just could be the best war movie I have ever watched in my life.
The interesting thing is this movie isn't about the good faction winning against the bad, it's about two brothers cought in the madness of war. This film truly makes you think about the absurdity of war.
A truly briliant movie that would leave you if not in tears, at least with very moist eyes. Seriously I can write a whole essay on this briiant movie.
