Very realistic movie, right up to the Band of Brothers level. The emotional plot was well-paced, and the actors did a great job. I hadn't gotten teary-eyed watching a movie for a long time and this one got me! I was kind of annoyed by the non-talking mother and the whiny little brother though.
But I guess it was part of the plot.
