Review of Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War (2004) by Pan L — 08 May 2009
Nothing Korean in this Korean movie (if you know what I mean). Dramatic turns (obviously amplified by the score) are cheesy, mature cheddar-like, simply weak script... Then 'Brotherhood' is ruthless regarding graphic violence, even for genre standards .
As with most modern war movies, battle scenes remain the best thing about it (nice pyrotechnics).
