Review of Synecdoche, New York (2008) by Alex T — 10 Dec 2012
Synedoche, New York is a messy, disorientating film full of the oddities and pecularities that have characterised Kaufman's previous work. its a frustrating, depressing, and at times awe-inspiring work that encapsulates life itself in all of its disjointed splendour.
it may not be the most enjoyable film to watch, but you'll be hard pressed to find a more challenging and impassioned piece of filmmaking this year.
