The first of Park's "Revenge Trilogy", it is also definitely the weakest. It actually seemed a bit absurd and random at times, and the biggest problem I had with this movie was that unlike the others in the trilogy, my sympathy for the "tragic character" (in this case, Dong-jin) was severely lacking.
Personally, I'd say skip this one and go straight to the others.
