The dark humor was very similar to Oldboy but the storyline wasn't as compelling. However, I did enjoy the different perspectives used to give you an air of ambiguity when deciding who should be the protagonist and antagonist.
The fight scenes are still raw as hell but aren't nearly as long as Oldboy's.
