Review of Symbiopsychotaxiplasm: Take One (1968) by Alex T — 16 Jun 2011
A fun little documentary that tries to search for some cinematic truth. But what exact truth are they trying to get at, I don't know, hell I don't think they even know. The directionless crew film the same test scene over and over again.
The actors then talk about their dialogue and the crew talks philosophically about the larger picture. There is no direct interviews with the director of this bizarre experiment, and that leaves you wondering if he's some kind of cinematic genius or just a guy who has no idea what he's doing.
